On June 12, Wenji Wang, Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property Office of Jing'an District, Shanghai, led a delegation to visit Shanghai Zemso Urban Furniture Technology Co., Ltd. for an on-site inspection and in-depth exchange. Chairman Song Li and Director Shanyong Li of Zemso warmly welcomed the delegation, accompanied them on a tour, and engaged in detailed discussions. The purpose of the visit was to understand the company’s current progress in intellectual property (IP) development and to promote the high-quality advancement of IP work among technology-driven enterprises in the region.
The research began with a comprehensive tour of Zemso's facilities, where Deputy Director Wang and her team gained insights into the company’s operations in smart urban furniture and smart mobility. Key innovations such as the Smart Bus Shelter and Outdoor Digital Signage—both independently developed by Zemso—were showcased, highlighting the company’s philosophy of integrated hardware-software innovation and collaborative R&D. Deputy Director Wang highly praised Zemso’s achievements in product development, technological innovation, and strategic IP planning, recognizing the company's practical approach to industrial focus and technological excellence.
During the subsequent discussion session, Chairman Song Li presented Zemso’s development journey, business structure, innovation strengths, and patent portfolio. He emphasized the company’s strong commitment to intellectual property, driven by its core philosophy of innovation-led growth. To date, Zemso has obtained over 100 IP rights and actively promotes the transformation of patents into practical applications, providing solid technical support for both industry innovation and company growth.
Deputy Director Wenji Wang also gave a comprehensive overview of current IP-related laws and policies, patent application processes, and infringement prevention measures. She addressed key challenges that enterprises commonly face in practice. Both parties engaged in an in-depth dialogue on topics including technology export, brand protection, and the creation of model patent enterprises. The discussion also covered key issues such as infringement determination standards, international patent strategies, and software copyright protection.
This visit not only deepened the government’s understanding of Zemso’s development but also provided valuable guidance for the company’s intellectual property system and innovation protection. Zemso will take this opportunity to further enhance its IP work, striving for a more professional, compliant, and efficient IP management system to support its high-quality development.
