On January 26, Shanghai Zemso Urban Furniture Technology Co., Ltd. proudly participated in the China-Korea Urban Design Exchange, organized by the Shanghai Institute of Smart City Research and led by the Urban Design Institute of Korea (UDIK). The exchange brought together leading experts, researchers, and industry representatives from both countries to discuss the latest trends and applications of smart technologies in urban furniture planning, transportation, public safety, administration, and sustainable city development.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Seoul, UDIK is a non-profit academic organization with six branches across South Korea. Recognized as the leading professional institution in urban design in Korea, UDIK conducts research, publishes academic journals, organizes conferences, and provides educational programs. It serves as a vital platform for fostering collaboration between academia, research institutions, and industry, promoting innovation and excellence in urban design.

During the event, Shanghai Zemso presented its cutting-edge smart urban furniture and city solutions, highlighting its core strengths in design, R&D, and integrated applications for smart cities. Zemso’s innovations, including intelligent street furniture, connected public spaces, and interactive urban solutions, drew significant attention from over ten Korean academics, research institutes, and industry representatives. The company demonstrated how these technologies can improve urban management, enhance public safety, and elevate citizen experience, sparking detailed discussions on practical implementation and future cooperation.

Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as smart traffic management systems, urban data integration, sustainable infrastructure, and the role of technology in creating livable and efficient cities. At the conclusion of the meeting, Shanghai Zemso was formally invited to visit South Korea for follow-up discussions and potential collaborations with Korean partners.
