From September 22 to 24, 2026, Tomorrow.City Shanghai 2026 (TCS 2026) was held in Shanghai. Under the theme “Together Across Mountains and Seas, Embracing Diversity,” the event brought together experts and scholars from 40 countries and regions to exchange ideas on smart city development, digital transformation, and global urban cooperation.
Shanghai-based ZEMSO, a practitioner in the smart city furniture sector, participated in the event and engaged with experts, scholars, city representatives, and industry leaders from around the world. ZEMSO showcased its products and practical solutions for urban public spaces.
From Product Showcase to Global Exchange
At the event, ZEMSO presented three types of products: solar-powered electronic bus stop signage, smart solar benches, and VR/AR devices. Focusing on smart mobility, green energy, public services, and digital experiences, the showcase highlighted ZEMSO’s exploration of smart city applications.
The solar-powered electronic bus stop sign integrates solar power with information display functions, providing greener and lower-carbon information services for urban public transportation. The smart solar benches combines essential urban infrastructure with intelligent functions, expanding the range of services available in public spaces.
The VR/AR display device was one of the highlights of ZEMSO’s booth. ZEMSO integrated seven major application scenarios into a virtual environment, providing a digital and immersive presentation of its smart city furniture products and solutions.
Visitors could put on the VR/AR display device and enter the virtual urban environment created by ZEMSO. Seven major scenario-based solutions—including public transportation, transportation hubs, community streets, scenic areas and parks, industrial parks, commercial properties, and Party-building services—were fully integrated into the virtual city. Visitors could not only see how ZEMSO’s products are applied in urban environments, but also use interactive features to explore product names, functions, dimensions, configuration parameters, and application scenarios in greater detail.
The system can also simulate different environmental conditions. By switching between daytime and nighttime, sunny and rainy weather, and other scenarios, visitors could see how the same product performs under different times and weather conditions. This created a shift from simply “viewing products” to “entering the scenarios,” and from “understanding functions” to “understanding solutions,” making ZEMSO’s product portfolio and scenario-based solutions more tangible and accessible to visitors.
From urban transportation infrastructure and public space services to digital interactive experiences, the three showcased product categories reflected ZEMSO’s continued exploration of products and applications based on real urban needs.
Sharing ZEMSO’s Overseas Journey Through Practical Experience
During the event, the 2026 Shanghai International Exchange Conference on Digital and Intelligent Cities was also held. Under the theme “AI Empowering Industries, Exploring Innovation and Practice in Digital and Intelligent Scenarios,” the forum focused on the integration of artificial intelligence with industries, as well as innovation and practical applications in digital and intelligent scenarios.
Fangyao Chen, International Business Department Manager at Shanghai ZEMSO, was invited to participate in the forum and share ZEMSO’s practical experience and exploration in overseas markets.
For ZEMSO, the value of AI goes beyond the technology itself. More importantly, it lies in integrating AI with real-world scenarios and transforming it into products and services that can be effectively implemented. Whether in urban information services, public space facilities, or smart transportation, digital technologies need to start from real-world needs and achieve deeper integration with physical infrastructure, urban environments, and user experiences.
From AI empowerment and scenario innovation to overseas practice, ZEMSO continues to explore the connection between technology, products, and urban needs, bringing digital technologies into cities and turning them into practical services for urban communities.
From product showcases to international exchange, and from urban scenario applications to overseas market exploration, the event opened another window for ZEMSO to engage with cities and industry partners around the world.
Looking ahead, Shanghai ZEMSO will continue to focus on urban public spaces and smart infrastructure, using products as a bridge, scenarios as the carrier, and practical experience as the foundation to expand international exchange and cooperation. ZEMSO looks forward to working with more cities, companies, and partners to explore new possibilities for smart city development together.
