As part of Japan’s ongoing smart city and intelligent transportation initiatives, ZEMSO GROUP partnered with local transportation authorities to deliver a next-generation Bus Stop Digital Signage solution. The project aimed to improve passenger information services, enhance operational efficiency, and establish a scalable, future-ready digital infrastructure for urban public transport.
Leveraging its strong capabilities in intelligent hardware design, system integration, and AI-driven applications, ZEMSO GROUP played a key role in the overall system architecture, product development, and on-site deployment of this project.
ZEMSO GROUP acted as the core technology provider and solution architect, responsible for:
Overall system design and hardware integration
Development of the digital signage terminal and controller architecture
AI feature integration and edge computing deployment
Ensuring long-term stability, expandability, and compliance with outdoor operational requirements in Japan
By combining centralized control, intelligent interaction, and open-system architecture, ZEMSO GROUP delivered a highly reliable and future-proof solution tailored to Japan’s public transportation environment.

The system adopts a dual-mode redundancy design, enabling intelligent switching between centralized management via the HC300 controller and autonomous discrete control of critical peripheral submodules. This ensures uninterrupted operation under both normal and fault conditions.
ZEMSO GROUP also implemented OTA (Over-the-Air) remote upgrade capabilities, allowing operators to perform software updates, feature enhancements, and maintenance remotely—significantly reducing operational costs and downtime.
Designed and manufactured under ZEMSO GROUP’s strict quality standards, the Bus Stop Digital Signage features exceptional structural strength and superior weather resistance. The enclosure and internal components are engineered for long-term outdoor use, ensuring stable operation in challenging conditions such as snow, rain, humidity, and temperature fluctuations.
To elevate the intelligence of the system, ZEMSO GROUP incorporated advanced AI capabilities, including:
Image analysis
Text-to-Speech (TTS)
Passenger flow statistics
Edge AI algorithms
Furthermore, the system supports the integration of large AI models, enabling the creation of digital human Q&A workflows. Passengers can interact with a digital human assistant via touchscreen and voice interaction, receiving real-time guidance, route information, and service updates.
ZEMSO GROUP also provides open API interfaces, allowing third-party platforms and services to connect seamlessly with the AI ecosystem.
The solution offers comprehensive standardized interfaces and security protocols, ensuring secure and stable integration with diverse third-party hardware and software. This open architecture allows unlimited functional expansion, enabling future integration of sensors, analytics platforms, advertising systems, and smart city applications.

With ZEMSO GROUP’s Bus Stop Digital Signage solution in place, the project achieved:
Improved passenger experience through real-time, intelligent information delivery
Enhanced operational efficiency for transport authorities
Increased system reliability and reduced maintenance costs
A scalable foundation for future smart transportation and AI-driven services
This Bus Stop Digital Signage project in Japan demonstrates ZEMSO GROUP’s strength as a global provider of intelligent transportation and digital signage solutions. By combining robust hardware, advanced AI technologies, and open system architecture, ZEMSO GROUP successfully delivered a reliable, interactive, and future-ready public transportation solution.
The project not only enhances daily commuting experiences but also sets a benchmark for smart bus stop infrastructure in modern cities.
